Real questions from real athletes. If yours isn't here, hit us at help@aidstation.pro.
We love human coaches — if you have the time, the budget, and the right fit, hire one. They're the gold standard. Most of us don't have all three. AIDSTATION is built for that gap: an always-on coach in your pocket that periodizes your plan, adapts on demand, and gets you to the start line fit and ready.
And if you do have a human coach, we play well together. Crew tier lets them ride along on your plan.
You've already done it. Bring in your existing training history as .FIT files — every workout you've logged is fair game — and AIDSTATION merges that data into your plan. Your past sessions become your baseline.
Tell the app. We'll re-block the plan around recovery, downgrade load, and walk you back in when you're ready. Race date stays unless you change it; the engine just gets more aggressive about catching up — within physiological limits.
Yes. Crew tier includes coach-side dashboard access. They can read your data, comment on sessions, and override the engine's recommendations.
You do. Always. Cancel and you can export everything as standard FIT/CSV. We don't sell, license, or train third-party models on your individual data.
No model is trained on them. Your plan is written from your own data at the time it's generated. Separately, we work out group statistics across many athletes — released only where the group is big enough to clear our suppression thresholds — and the coach cites those when it writes your plan. Opt out in Settings and you're dropped from those statistics at the next recalculation; delete your account and that recalculation runs as part of the deletion.
Today, anything that exports a standard .FIT file — which is essentially every modern watch and head unit. Drop your workouts in and they're read, parsed, and merged into your plan. Direct device integrations are on the roadmap.
Yes — built from your sweat rate, race-day forecast, course profile, and prior gut tolerance. You get carb/hr targets per discipline, sodium targets, an aid-station handoff sheet, and a printable bike-special-needs list.
This is a flagship use case. The engine periodizes effort across stages, plans sleep windows, and adjusts mid-race based on what you upload between stages. Crew tier lets your support team see and edit the plan live.
Yes. Share a read-only race-day link or invite them as crew on Crew tier. They see the playbook, your pace projection, and aid-station handoff times.
Two plans. Base is $29.99 a month, $149 for six months, or $249 a year. Expedition is $59.99 a month or $499 a year. All USD. Full breakdown on the pricing page.
Base: one plan generation (a full 12-week build or a deep refresh of your current block), two week refreshes, six coach-assisted plan edits, six ad-hoc sessions, one race-week brief, and sixty coach chat turns. Expedition roughly doubles all of it — two generations, four week refreshes, ten edits, ten ad-hoc sessions, two race briefs — and carries 120 chat turns a month, or 200 on the annual term. Device sync and equipment adaptation are on every plan.
Allowances reset on your billing day and don't roll over. Mechanical changes — moving a session, taking a rest day, swapping equipment the coach can resolve itself — are free and never counted.
We tell you which feature, how much you used, and the day it resets — and offer the tier above. We never quietly water down your plan to stay inside a cap.
Yes, from the customer portal. While you're paused you're not charged and nothing is deleted — your history, plans and connected devices stay exactly as they are — but coaching is locked until you resume. Common pattern: pause Nov–Feb, resume for base build.
About 31% off twelve months at the monthly rate — $249 for Base, $499 for Expedition. Expedition annual also carries the highest chat allowance we sell, 200 turns a month instead of 120. Base has a six-month term at $149 if a year is too long a commitment.
Polar (polar.sh) — our merchant of record, and the seller of your subscription rather than a processor acting on our behalf. Polar charges you, issues your receipt, and handles sales tax and VAT. Your card details never reach AIDSTATION; we see the last four digits and a confirmation. Manage, change or cancel your plan in Polar's customer portal, linked from your Membership page.
Not the watch company. Polar Electro, the watch brand we integrate with, is a different business entirely — see Partners.
Cancel any time; the subscription runs to the end of the term you've paid for. Annual terms carry a 14-day refund window from the start of the term. Monthly terms aren't pro-rated. Statutory withdrawal rights, including the EU's 14-day right, always apply on top — see Terms §7.4.
You get seven days of grace to fix the card. After that the account goes read-only until the balance clears — you keep access to your history and plans, and nothing is deleted.
