This Cookie Policy explains how AIDSTATION uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and within our applications. It is published by AIDSTATION Pro, LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("AIDSTATION," "we," "us," "our"), and supplements our Privacy Policy.
You can review or change your choices at any time — open or follow the Cookie preferences link in our footer.
What cookies are.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use an app. They allow services to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and gather information about how you use the service.
In this policy, "cookies" also covers similar technologies we may use, including:
- Local storage and session storage (storage mechanisms used by web applications)
- Pixels, tags, and SDK identifiers (small pieces of code that help us measure usage)
- Mobile device identifiers used by our applications
Categories of cookies we use.
We use two categories of cookies. We do not use advertising, marketing, or third-party behavioral tracking cookies.
2.1 Strictly necessary
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the service to function. They enable basic features such as authentication, security, and session management. Without them, the service cannot work as intended.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent under applicable law.
Examples of strictly necessary cookies we use:
- Session and authentication tokens that keep you logged in
- Security cookies that protect against fraud and cross-site request forgery
- Preference cookies that remember your cookie consent choices
2.2 Analytics
Analytics cookies help us understand how the service is used so we can improve it. They report on things like which features are used most, where errors occur, and how performance varies across devices.
Analytics cookies are only set if you provide consent.
Examples of analytics cookies we use:
- Aggregate usage measurement (feature interactions, session duration, retention patterns)
- Performance monitoring (loading times, network errors)
- Error and crash reporting
2.3 What we do not use
- Advertising or marketing cookies
- Third-party tracking cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Social media tracking pixels
- Profiling cookies beyond what is necessary to provide the service
- Cookies that share data with data brokers
Specific cookies in use.
The table below describes the cookies currently in use. It will be kept current as our technology stack changes.
Cookie names in brackets are placeholders pending finalization of the production technology stack.
How we get your consent.
When you visit our website or open the application for the first time, we present a cookie consent banner. You can:
- Accept all categories
- Reject non-essential categories (only strictly necessary cookies will be set)
- Customize your preferences by category
Your choice is remembered until you change it or until the consent expires (12 months from your last choice, after which we ask again).
You can change your preferences at any time at Settings → Privacy → Cookie Preferences or via the link in the footer of our website.
Managing cookies.
5.1 In-app and on-site controls
The cookie consent banner and the Settings → Privacy → Cookie Preferences screen give you direct control. Disabling a category stops new collection in that category; previously collected data is handled per our Privacy Policy.
5.2 Browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through browser settings. Doing so for strictly necessary cookies may prevent the service from working correctly.
Browser-specific instructions:
- Chrome:
chrome://settings/cookies - Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
5.3 Global Privacy Control
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser. We treat a GPC signal as a request to opt out of any sale or share of personal data under U.S. state privacy laws.
AIDSTATION does not sell or share personal data, but we honor the signal for consistency with applicable law and to give you confidence that your preferences are respected.
5.4 Mobile application
In our mobile applications, cookie-equivalent technologies (local storage, mobile device identifiers) are managed through device settings and our in-app privacy controls. You can reset advertising identifiers at the operating system level; we do not use advertising identifiers for advertising purposes.
Changes to this policy.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will:
- Notify you in the app and update the "Last Updated" date at the top
- Where required, request renewed consent through the cookie banner
Contact.
